Understanding Gabi´s musical world can be sometimes ambiguous and paradoxal but it is always synonimous with deep adventures through the infinite possibilities of electronic music artillery.
Starting at the age of 6 ressonating more with the rock side of life, at 11 his interest for extreme or unconventional music was already very well defined. A collector of music since ever,he absorbed almost an entire culture of musical revolutions with its social attitudes and ways of life. At 12 he had his first musical experiments playing guitar and writing lyrics in his band, which was based on styles such as death metal/grind/thrash/crossover, but soon a new world of electronic/industrial music opened his mind for wider horizons. Witness of the emerging rave culture in Portugal, he accompaigned its evolution, its ups and downs. So in 1999 attracted by the old uncontrollable wish for sharing music,he joins the big bang of Quest4Goa, playing mainly in the chill out/ambient rooms. With a great sensibility to art he turns his dj sets into deep sessions of unexplored territories,creating authentic soundscapes and pure ambient dreaming. Gabi played all over Portugal from important events to clubs and underground parties,Boom festival,Sinergia festival, Pacha,The day after,Porto rio,Maré alta,just to name a few and collaborated with various organizations. He is also a member of Womb Label an independent portuguese label,and more recently is also dj for Electrik Dream records. He produces under the monikers: Intangible, Augen, SansCpu, Ayva. |
